Michael Krug is a Talent Acquisition & Human Resources Leader with 18 years of experience. His passion is designing Talent Acquisition (TA) solutions in organizations that value collaboration and embrace inclusive workplaces. As the Director of Talent Acquisition & Physician Recruitment for Hoag, he is responsible for creating positive candidate experiences to over 60K applicants and 1,200 new hires each year. Michael has built a successful career in developing scalable TA & HR functions from the ground up in both public, not for profit, and fast - growing private sectors. Prior to joining Hoag in 2010, Michael held several corporate Talent Acquisition positions in the Department of Defense, IT, Digital Media, and Advanced Rockets & Spacecraft organizations.

Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from National University. He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM - SCP). As a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Michael is an active volunteer and career coach for many prominent military, military spouses, and veteran career transition programs across Southern California.

Michael enjoys spending time with his family, training for triathlons, and listening to podcasts. He also enjoys mentoring, up - and - coming, HR and TA professionals where he can share his knowledge and passion for HR.
