Sean Guerrero joined Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI) in 2017 and is the
Manager of Business Intelligence, Strategic Analytics and Reporting. Sean
joined the Hoag family six years ago and has served in various positions
in clinical analytics and project management.
In his current role, Sean manages the transformation of internal and external
data sets, integratingclinical, operational and financial information.
He is responsible for developing comprehensive analytical models to support
HOI enterprise business and strategic objectives.
Sean received his Master of Health Administration degree from the University
of La Verne and acquired his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University
of California, Riverside. He is also certified in Health Services Management.
Prior to Hoag, Sean served as a scribe in the Emergency Department at
St. Joseph’s Health.
Recently, Sean has been instrumental in the development of HOI’s
current 5 - year strategic plan and has collaborated with the Harvard
Business School to conduct time - driven activity - based costing projects
that resulted in reduction of registration, pre - op and PACU delays.
In his previous role, he spearheaded the Hoag Minimally Invasive Robotic
Center of Excellence designations and developed a comprehensive audit
process that captured over $700,000 in missing Labor & Delivery
Operating Room and Emergency Department charges.
Sean continues to support HOI’s enterprise leaders, leading multi
- disciplinary teams and providing project and data management support
to further HOI enterprise - wide business and strategic initiatives.
