Fellowship Programs

Hoag Orthopedics, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established to provide higher education, research, and community outreach in the field of musculoskeletal medicine. We offer post orthopedic residency fellowship programs in Adult Reconstruction Hip & Knee, Spine Surgery, and an ACGME accredited Sports Medicine program. While arthroplasty and spine are not under the purview of the ACGME, we hold these programs’ curriculum to the same high standards. Our programs contain a robust educational conference schedule including labs, pre/post op conferences, Grand Rounds, journal clubs, morbidity and mortality conferences, and more.

Hoag Orthopedics is a premier provider for continuing and ongoing musculoskeletal education. We welcome doctors, nurses, physician assistants, physical therapists and other medical professionals in the community to attend our monthly Grand Rounds sessions, lecture series, and our annual Orthopedic Fellowship Research Day.

Our group practice and private practitioners have come together in the spirit of camaraderie because of a shared interest in orthopedic education and much needed research. There are over 20 physicians who are active faculty to our three Fellowship programs. Together we provide a fertile educational environment to train Hoag Orthopedics fellows, the elite specialty surgeons of tomorrow.

Our drive to be the very best has enabled us to achieve and sustain an unprecedented, higher level of orthopedic care. The hospital is committed to having modern clinical pathways, nursing care, infection prevention efforts and educational programs for physicians and ancillary services. The faculty believe that fellows need to be exposed to this type of environment to ensure successful outcomes for their patients.
